The Worst Way to Get Started

THE WORST WAY TO GET STARTED

The worst way to get a new distributor started is to tell him to make a list of his friends and family. Friends and family will attempt to tell your new distributor that he can't make it with this business. That is the most DISCOURAGING way to get started. It is probably the greatest cause of dropouts.

Making a list of friends and family gives you a list of people who are not going to build a downline. They are NOT business builders. They don't even WANT a home based business. If you try to build a downline of these people, this is a plan for failure.

Not only is "making a list" a plan for failure, but it also sends the wrong message. They think Network Marketing requires you to chase your friends and family. (Guess where they got that idea?) The problem is: they don't WANT to chase their friends and family. Their perception is that Network Marketing is where you must pursue your relatives until you become a pest. No wonder they don't want to join!

Friends and family don't usually want a home based business.

They don't want you to have one either.

Why not try to recruit business-builders instead of non-business-builders. That's much easier! They don't laugh at you. They don't try to discourage you. And it is the key to building a downline - - - to start with people who have the mindset to be business builders.

How do you build a downline with people who don't want a business?

Where do you find these business-builders?

When you join us, we give you 100-400 FREE Leads each month. More if you can use them! These are people who WANT a home-based business - they ARE interested in a home-based business. They are the business-builders you need to build a downline.

WHY YOU SHOULD SHOP FOR A SPONSOR

Have you ever been signed up by someone, and then you never heard from the person again? You were a victim of a “sales recruiter”. This is a common method of people who think they are in “sales”. The problem is that you are not in “sales”, you are looking for a business partner. And you don’t sell or “close” on people to get a business partner.
Are you a sales recruiter? Or are you a real sponsor? There is a huge difference. A sales recruiter is effective at “signing up” people, and then moving on to “sign up” others. The sales recruiter seems to be in a frantic search to sign up people. The sales recruiter believes in “love ‘em and leave ‘em. The real sponsor has a different attitude. He believes that any person worth sponsoring is worth developing. The real sponsor believes in working with people AFTER they enroll. The sales recruiter just wants to make a sale, and then move on to the next “victim”.
Being a real sponsor is an ongoing, continuing activity. It is this continuing activity that creates loyalty to the sponsor, and gives the sponsor serious credibility. The sales recruiter is a traveling salesman; once he has sold you, he is gone. The real sponsor is a helper/teacher who wants you to have the training and tools you need to be successful, and the encouragement to keep plugging.
The sponsor’s job begins when you enroll; the sales recruiter’s job ENDS when you enroll. The goal of the sales recruiter is to sign up people. The goal of the sponsor is to train and develop leaders.
Questions to ask about the person who is seeking to sign you up:
1. Is this person trying to sponsor me or sell me?
2. Is this person a sales recruiter or a real sponsor?
3. Will this person be there for me AFTER I sign up?
4. Will this person give me free leads or am I expected to chase after my friends and family?
5. Does this person have a Business Building System for me to use?
6. Does this person have an ONLINE System?
7. What kind of Training will I receive?
